Who is behind this.
I'm Mark Rawlings Smith. Cuelight is how I work: a way of putting these systems together that I've arrived at by building them. It isn't a product you buy a licence for. One person, with the tools to do the work of a team, is the whole idea behind it. It's also how the practice runs.
The short version.
The shop
The Guilded Veil is my own online shop. It sells real products to real customers. Stock, shipping, VAT, listings and the books all run through Cuelight, every day. I built it to prove the model on my own money before asking for yours.
One person, several roles
Before Cuelight, a spatial audio venture: taken from a concept to a filed PCT patent and a working, demonstrable product, over two and a half years. I carried it across the engineering, the intellectual property and the commercial side myself. Cuelight works the same way: one person doing a job that would usually be split across a team.
The background
Before that, twenty years running live broadcast and media systems. The kind where a fault shows up on television, in front of everyone. That's where the habits come from: hard limits, clear records and nothing important left to chance.
Why this site is shared early
Some of what it describes is live. Some is being built and every page says which is which. If Cuelight is wrong for your business, the free audit will show that quickly. Better to know before any money moves.
